A Mobile Source of Renewable Energy
The GEMS is an off-road trailer-type structure equipped with a hybrid solar-wind system, combining deployable solar panels and a mini wind turbine.
This system is designed to operate on muddy terrain and unpaved roads and ensure a mobile source of power for measurement resources, such as LiDARs. In addition It can power communication devices, lighting, or other systems in areas without access to the conventional power grid.

Specifications
- Its approximate dimensions are 1.80 m wide, 2.30 m long and 1.70 m high (up to the panels).
- It is capable of powering a LiDAR of up to 300 W.
- It stores energy in internal batteries, allowing it to operate fully autonomously without the need for diesel generators.
- The solar panels are foldable, which allows them to be collected during transport to optimize aerodynamics and road safety, and deployed at the operation site.
- The mini-turbine serves as a support to ensure the batteries are charged at night or on cloudy days.
- Its design is modular, which facilitates its attachment, movement and relocation after measurement campaigns of 3 to 6 months.
- It features an aerodynamic design to optimize vehicle flow and reduce fuel consumption during road transport.
